About Us

The purpose of the Afro-Latinx Student Association is to build and foster a community of Afro-Latinx-identifying students at Emory University. There has not been a space on campus that caters to the unique identity and experience of being Afro-Latinx. We aim to share knowledge about the complexities and intersectionality of being Black and Latinx within our community but also with the Emory community at large. We aim to share our music, dance, history, traditions, and anything else that makes our experiences and culture unique.
