Modeled after the GA-FANS Solutions Summit within Georgia State Nursing, ECHER-S will aim to consolidate various wellness campus & community engagement programs (including student organizations), research initiatives, and centers to a single event program. With current backing from the Center for the Study of Human Health at Emory University (Health 1,2,3,4 Program), the Emory University Center for Student Wellbeing, & Emory Student Government Association, ECHER-S aims to showcase the latest in what Emory is offering the wellbeing science/implementation community. ECHER-S is designed to support the present “One Emory: Ambition and Heart” University Initiative through multi-school collaboration. This summit will give special focus on the Okanagan Charter (developed from the 2015 International Conference on Health Promoting Universities and Colleges) to supplement Emory’s flourishing initiative by thoughtfully and sustainably integrating health education, wellbeing, research, training, and partnership towards students across the undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education/certificate levels. ECHER-S is an SGA Mini-Grant Competition Winner; all are invited to attend free of charge.
