EILR Symposium This Friday!
Hi Everyone!
Hope y'all are surviving the last few weeks of the semester! Times are tough right now but you've got this!
I want to encourage all of you to attend Emory International Law Review's Annual Symposium this Friday, November 7th! The topic this year is "From Battlefield to Bench: Prosecuting Violations of the Law of Armed Conflict.” At the symposium leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers will gather to explore modern mechanisms of accountability in armed conflict—both for state actors and non-state entities such as corporations, mercenaries, and digital networks.
The Keynote Speaker, Ambassador Clint Williamson (Ret.), Lead Coordinator of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group for Ukraine and former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues, will share insights from a distinguished career spanning the ICTY, UN missions, and global atrocity prosecutions.
