LGSC Travel Grants
Hello Laney! Fall 2025 LGSCTravelGrants are now open. This grant is for Laney Graduate students and can cover reimbursements for up to $250 conference expenses during the Fall 2025 semester. Each student can claim an LGSC grant a maximum of two times during their time as an enrolled student in their program. There is a limited number of grants available each semester. (CPD Workshop) Professional Development
Through practical activities and guided reflection, students will learn how to communicate their strengths, translate their experiences into transferable skills, and develop a professional brand that aligns with their career goals—regardless of major, past work experience, or current clarity about the future. This interactive workshop is designed to prepare students to approach the Fall Career Fair with confidence and strategy.

Scents and Serenity
Take a mindful pause and recharge with Scents and Serenity! This drop-in aromatherapy experience invites students to explore the calming power of scents and their connection to mental well-being. Participants will create personalized scent bags, paint their own incense holders, and learn about how different aromas can support stress relief, focus, and balance throughout the semester.
New Series For Skill Building
This fall, Laney Graduate School is launching its inaugural Skills Training Lunch and Learn series, designed to equip students with practical skills that support academic success, research excellence, and professional growth.
The first session focused on high-performance computing (HPC), offers an introduction to parallel computing, HPC clusters, job scheduling, and remote development workflows — no prior experience needed.
