About Us

The purpose of The Emory Puerto Rican Student Association is to offer a sense of community to students from Puerto Rico or with Puerto Rican heritage, while reaching out to any student to further diversify and strengthen the Emory University community. Its purpose is to create an environment for the discussion of Puerto Rican affairs, including social, political, gastronomical, and cultural issues. The association also provides activities to foster a sense of belonging and understanding of Puerto Rican culture. Founded on the principle of integration, the association strictly prohibits discrimination based on gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, political belief, disabilities, or other factors.
