Volunteers will pack, organize, and personalize feminine hygiene products and toiletries for distribution to local shelters. Option Emory KDSAP (11:00am-1:00pm) Emory Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) is a student organization dedicated to promoting kidney health through education, outreach, and community engagement. Volunteers will help prepare and distribute kidney-friendly recipes and educational resources to members of the Atlanta community. Option Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC \| 11:00am-2:00pm) FODAC is a non-profit organization that recycles home medical equipment and assistive technology and is dedicated to serving individuals with medical needs. Volunteers will assist FODAC in refurbishing and organizing medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and hospital beds that are donated and redistributed to individuals in need. Tasks include cleaning, sorting, testing, and packaging items for delivery. Transportation is provided to and from the project site. * Dress according to the weather, wear comfortable, modest attire, and closed-toe shoes. *Volunteers get a 10% discount in the thrift store after their shift! Option Office of Sustainability Initiatives (11:00am-1:00pm) Emory’s Office of Sustainability Initiatives works to promote environmental stewardship and create a more sustainable campus community through conservation, education, and engagement efforts. Volunteers will help remove invasive plant species growing in Lullwater Preserve to support the local ecosystems' health. Volunteers will help preserve Emory’s natural spaces and protect native biodiversity ***Recommended attire and what to bring: Closed toed shows, Sun protection (glasses, hat, sunscreen), Reusable water bottle, Insect repellant, and Long pants (opt.). Volunteers will assist with cleaning, moving boxes, organizing inventory, and assembling supply kits to improve the efficiency of the organization's programs and services. Option Emory Center for Wellbeing: Health Access Machine (11:00am-1:00pm) The Emory Health Access Machine(HAM), located on the ground floor of the Alumni Memorial University Center (AMUC),is a student-driven initiative that puts free health and wellness essentials directly in students' hands, anytime, no questions asked. Designed with student needs and input at the center, the vending unit removes barriers to accessing everyday health resources. Volunteers will help stock, maintain, and promote the machine, ensuring students have consistent access to the items they need to stay healthy. Option Miracle League (Shift One \| 10am-12pm) Serve as a "Buddy" to assist youth (ages 4-10 and ages 11+) with varying ranges of cognitive and physical disabilities to play a 2-inning baseball game. Participants get a chance to experience the joy and sense of accomplishment of playing baseball. Parents, families and other loved ones get an opportunity to cheer for their child and experience the sense of pride of watching them play. You'll help your "Buddy" to hit (they have 3 tries to hit the ball, then we put it on a tee), run the bases, and play outfield (each player has a glove and gets a chance to catch and return a ball). ***Transportation will be provided! Option Dementia Art Therapy Alliance (11:00am-2:00pm) The Dementia Art Therapy Alliance aims to harness the therapeutic potential of art to enhance the lives of individuals affected by dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases. Volunteers will go to King's Bridge Memory Care to help clean up gardens and tend to the assisted living and memory care facility. Volunteers may also work on other projects to improve the living of residents, such as making memory boards or decorating spaces for the residents. ***Transportation will be provided! Option Global Growers (8:30am-12:30pm) The Global Growers project is a wonderful opportunity to address food insecurity as well as support local food distribution networks! During this project, you will help set up and support the Global Growers farmer's market located at the Indian Creek MARTA station. Transportation will be provided to and from the location. Option Students Impacting Community Change (11am-12pm) Through academic course work and a summer internship experience, Community Building Social Change (CBSC) fellows learn how to transform their passion for social justice into meaningful actions that revitalize communities and promote positive and lasting social change. CBSC Fellows will share their personal experiences and lead a discussion about doing deep engagement in Atlanta’s communities. Option Emory National Biomedical Research Center (10:15am-2pm) The Emory National Biomedical Research Center (formerly known as the Primate Center) helps people across generations and around the world live longer, healthier lives. The center, a resource for researchers worldwide, works in partnership with the National Institutes of Health and others to conduct and enable research studies that make breakthrough discoveries of causes, preventions, treatments and cures possible. In this Day of Impact opportunity, participants will create enrichment items for the center’s animals, which will give the animals species-specific foraging opportunities. Participants will engage in an introduction to their programming, and then will support through a toiletry kit packing activity! Option Oxford College Farm (10:15am-2:00pm) The Oxford College Farm is an organic farm that provides fresh produce to the dining hall and serves as an experiential learning opportunity for students across departments. Volunteers will maintain the farm by picking tomatoes to be donated to a local pantry, and by removing tomato cages. Emory Impact Day is Volunteer Emory's Day of Service annual Fall event. This Day will bring the Emory community together to perform service both on campus and in the local Atlanta community. Emory Impact Day will be on Saturday, September 26th, 2026. Transportation and breakfast will be provided.

**Please plan to arrive in the Emory Student Center multipurpose rooms 4, 5, and 6 between 9:30 am and 10:15 am.

ON CAMPUS PROJECTS: Trip leads will bring students to project locations and service will occur between 11am-2pm (please see specific shift for details).

OFF CAMPUS PROJECTS: Buses for off-campus projects will depart by 10:25am with service occurring between 11am and 2pm and arrival back on campus by 2:30pm (please see specific project for details).
