About Us
The Young Democrats of Emory serves to civically engage the Emory student body by hosting discussion-based events, bringing speakers and local activists to the College, and working with other advocacy organizations on campus. Our goal is to create and promote activism throughout Emory and to extend that work into the Atlanta community and beyond. Additionally, we support the broader mission of the Democratic Party through our activism as we promote party values and candidates through our efforts. The work we have done has helped register hundreds of students within the Emory community to vote, allowed several significant political candidates and nonprofit leaders to come to campus, and has overall helped Emory students become more involved in politics and local activism.
