About Us
Emory’s chapter of the largest student-led movement for global medical and dental health. Global Brigades at Emory University is an international student-operated volunteer organization whose mission is to provide sustainable development to underserved communities throughout the world. Along with affiliate groups at other distinguished universities, our Emory team recruits student volunteers and healthcare professionals, gathers medical supplies, and travels overseas to set up free medical and dental clinics in rural Belizean, Panamanian, Guatemalan, and Honduran communities. Each May, we hold an annual week-long brigade to one of these communities, providing direct clinical care. Throughout the year, we provide ongoing educational and professional development opportunities related to international health, alongside continuous fundraising efforts.
