About Us

The mission of EJON is to: 1. Unite Emory students who are passionate about exploring the ethical, philosophical, and social implications of neuroscience through collaborative scholarship, discussion, and mentorship. 2. Foster the advancement and dissemination of high-quality neuroethics literature by providing a platform for student authors to publish, peer review, and engage critically with emerging topics in the field. 3. Promote interdisciplinary dialogue by organizing events, workshops, and speaker series that connect students from diverse academic backgrounds including neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, law, and medicine. 4. Support members’ professional and academic growth through guidance on research ethics, academic publishing, and responsible conduct of research in neuroscience. 5. Collaborate with other Emory student organizations, academic departments, and external neuroethics groups to expand opportunities for networking, learning, and impact within and beyond the Emory community. 6. Uphold a culture of respect, inclusivity, and intellectual integrity. The Emory Journal of Neuroethics stands firmly against any form of discrimination, hazing, harassment, or academic misconduct, fostering a safe and supportive environment for all members to contribute and grow.
