About Us
The purpose of the Pi Alpha Chemical Society is to enhance the academic experience of graduate students in chemistry or those with an interest in chemistry. This enhancement is achieved by providing opportunities for students to engage in activities and events outside of the laboratory that allow them to express their interests in chemistry through a variety of avenues. Such opportunities include social enrichment events, community service in the greater Atlanta community, and academic outreach for the public and future generations of scientists. The Pi Alpha Chemical Society also serves to support events that are held within the chemistry department at Emory University for the purpose of building a sense of community among its students.
