About Us
As members EBS, our purpose is to: ● Provide a space for the open discussion of ethics related to the growing field of biology and other sciences ● Advocate for the importance of an ethical viewpoint in scientific research and education ● Foster a respectful community where members of EBS can openly express their viewpoints on certain bioethical issues and provoke analysis in others ● Create a platform for students to vocalize concerns ● Engage students in the all-important field of bioethics ● Allow students to understand and consider how their actions, values and objectives can be altered or changed by ethical implications. ● Hold bimonthly ethical discussion hosted by Emory students ● Spread the importance of ethical consideration and discussion on Emory’s campus through advocacy, cooperation and partnership.
