About Us

The purpose of DATA at Emory is to harness the therapeutic potential of art to enhance the lives of individuals affected by dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases in and around the Emory community. We are dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and emotional well-being through engaging artistic experiences that promote a sense of joy and mitigate the various symptoms of these conditions. By providing a safe and inclusive space, we aim to empower both participants and their caregivers, promoting self-expression and shared understanding.
