About Us

Ngambika is a Greek-neutral organization that promotes the emergence of student leaders on Emory’s campus through Service, Academics, Sisterhood, and Step (S.A.S.S). The step aspect of the organization aims to build a sisterhood through an athletic team experience. It acts not only as a way to strengthen the community, but also as a means of team building. “Ngambika” is a Central African phrase whose English translation is “we carry our sister’s load”, a perfect rendition to the values the organization carries within community building. This mission is carried out through event collaborations with other multicultural organizations and community service projects on Emory’s campus and in the Atlanta area.
